xk3y update news—firmware V1.04 released

Some update news from the xk3y official site, they released the new firmware V1.04,.and also announced that news that firmware V1.05 is in beta testing. just take a look.

Here is the changelog quote from them

New features in v1.04 [15/10/11]

- isoMenu system
- Fixed Hitachi 78/79 & XGD3
- Fixed Samsung & XGD3 (thanks to morph0 and others)
- Increased AP25 failure grace period
- Implemented MenuIso menu system
- Changed behavior when an ISO is selected and tray is closed. ISO is now queued until tray opens
- Added Mount point count to main menu
- Added xkey.cfg file

Small error with .cfg file, it was missing a few important lines.

Revised .cfg file in the download section for anyone that downloaded the full release already.

Or add the lines manually to your current .cfg file using a text editor.

Firmware 1.05 in beta testing.

Just a quick sneak peek what we have in store this time.

Thumbnails are now added to the IsoMenu feature.

To Use:
Add a JPG to the directory where the game ISO resides, give it the same name as the ISO but with a jpg file extension. That JPG is shown in the XBox's Picture Library browser when the game is selected. A small white square is shown if there is no JPG

More info on 1.05 soon to come!

And yes, more stock is on the way...

Over on the official forums, there seems to be a few who have it. Everything I've seen has been general 'growing' pains for a new product. Odd issues will come up and are fixed or a work-around is made until a fix.

Got a coworker who placed an order so once he gets it, I'll be over at his place to check it out.

i'd love to hear some members here talk about their experiences with this. but as others have mentioned... it seems like it takes forever to get.

i thought it was fairly common knowledge that there was no "safe" solution when playing back-ups.
