6. Extra question...is it common to be unable to bypass mandatory game and system updates.
7. Extra Extra question...After installing CFW and installing multiman...is it just as simple as putting in a game and pressing a button to copy.

5) your choice. update, if it doesn't work afterwards delete the update. i never update a game. updating the firmware!!!! will kill your custom firmware (so don't do that), game and firmware updates are thus NOT the same
6) no, never connect to the internet and delete all the fw update folders in the games that you copy over to your hdd.
7) run 1 program on your ps3 (multiman), then click on the game you want to play. that is it. any idiot can get it to work, if you can't...... congratulations, at least your not an idiot in that case.
