At what point do you get the error?

When loading?
When accessing PSN?

Need more info!

So as you select the game from the game menu on the PS3, it goes straight to a black screen with error 80010009?
It does not attempt to load at all?

What firmware you got?
Where did you get the game from?
It could be the wrong region or already modified for a different firmware

Things to try:
1) Replace the .SFO and EBOOT with originals as they may have been modded for older firmware.
2) if you installed a recent update for the game, Go into the game data utility in the games menu on XMB and delete the update data for that game.

It is also possible that you had a bad download as I can confirm that a retail backup works just fine on kmeaw 3.55 using the latest multiman.

Let me now how it goes or if you have any issues with what is required for the 2 things to try

The reason you are getting this error is because you are probably using fileZilla to transfer the game to the PS3. use winscp and you wont get this at all. I had the same problem before, changed to winscp using blackboxFTP and all good now.
