Playing around with my fat body ps3 running Kmeaw I figured ill try and get LA Noire to work off my external. For some odd weird reason I said sure ill update to 3.60 via the update on the disk (I dont have an actual disk but you already know that). I guess everyone can figure out what happened.

Still able to boot the system so thats good.
NO HOME BREW features are working anymore.
I suppose its all fine and dandy except I own two PS3s. One running a cfw and the other retail still.

Yea, you Fd up real good. Your console is now on 3.60, that means you can update to 3.70 to go online with it again, no chance of playing homebrew apps with that console anymore.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

I'll just let it sit on 3.60 for awhile. Hopefully someone will come along and create a cfw for it. In my opinion theirs probably one already created but only being used by the author and his circle of friends.

Makin' moves... NPDRM styles! The gitbrew crew has managed to successfully "sign" packages (pkg) for PS3 Firmware 3.60+! Now I'm not sure if that includes 3.70 ... but if it does -- awesome!

The tools used are not available to the public just yet, but gitbrew is working on that... The signing routine was achieved using PSL1GHT in a "heavily modified" setup, which they're dubbing the FrankenSDK. We'll keep you posted whenever that becomes available.

These guys -- gitbrew -- really deserve your support; click here to see what's up and how you can help. Big things ahead ... like working PUPs maybe. You've got to put one foot in front of the other... And the rest is just patience.

I would stay off of 3.70 for the moment; if we can sign packages for 3.60 then it should be possible to do 3.60 downgrading very soon.

I have two systems the formerly hacked one on 3.60 and a model which I upgraded to 3.70.

I plan to leave the formerly hacked box on 3.60 and ride waves of time to see what happens. The retail box I use for most of my gaming.

Still cannot believe you updated your cfw console.
I mean it's one thing if you have only 1 ps3 and accidently updated it, but when you do what the most sensible ppl have done and have 2 ps3s, 1 ofw, 1 cfw, and you update your cfw to ofw, then thats just silly :P

It's ok if you install a 3.6x game update patch, you just delete it and the game data then reinstall the game data.

Anyway lets hope this trick mean cfw for 3.6x console owners.

I didn't do it on purpose. I was a few beers in and not paying attention LOL. Lesson learned. Almost feels as if I got a DUI but with my playstation. Guess it could be called HUI (Hacking under the influence).

lol yeah. Wonder if they can sign the cfw pup but claim it to be 3.56 or above, so that you can trick the ps3 to install it as if it is an updated firmware when in fact it's cfw.
