Anyone have luck with the Disc version of Pain?

Like the topic says, I am wondering if anyone has been able to get the disc version of Pain to work properly with kmeaw 3.55. I installed my disc to the internal HDD, but have been getting many different errors. Now I believe that my file structure is F'd, so I am going to format my PS3 HDD with my comp, put a backup on it and start from scratch.
