downgrade regero 4.50 v1.01 to 3.55

Hi everyone I have a older ps3 CECHG01 that I am trying to downgrade so I can remarry a new BD logic board. I downloaded regero 3.55 downlgrader CFM and I keep getting an error 800xxxxx . I have read that I have to enable QA in the tool box first but the tool box wont work because I dont have the logic board married to the MB, I just get a black screen. I have a E3 card reader coming in the mail so I can do the remarry process, If I have to wait for that to downgrade I will. My question is can I do a remarry without downgrading, I am reading you can not and why do I keep getting this error? I am kind of a noob at this but I think with a little help from the knowledgeable people on here i can get this thing fixed.
