2) There is a jailbreak 2 dongle out, some claim it to work, but not fully confirmed yet. If that is the case we wait for someone to hack that and then hopefully someone can get it working on cfw.
3) Well I think demonhades was lying then, but who knows.
4) Someone already broke their e3 flasher whilst trying to put it in, looks like the caddy e3 give doesnt have a slot which slims require.
SO best to wait see how things progress, also remember e3 doesnt support solderless dual boot even though they advertised it as such, claim to be working on it though.
Oh so I would say dont get anything until around xmas or after, if we're lucky someone will release before xmas, but seeing how things on the ps3 scene are a bit bipolar, I wouldnt put my hopes up too much for a quick release.

Do you remember when the "PS3 Break v1.0" came out? They said it was upgradeable and you wouldn't have any problems updating it. Well that turned out to be a bunch of bullshit as well, as they only released the upgrade option in the V1.1 model or very few of the v1.0s. So I ended up buying 3 of them, thinking all I ever needed was just the 1. You can never trust these idiots i guess
