I recently just used a program called EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Pro.Like you I accidentally reformatted my 1TB HDD twice if you can believe it. I was able to recover everything even stuff I forgot I had before.

The process depends on how much data you lost.

Have you tried using any recovery software to recover deleted files. Try using any good Mac external hard drive recovery application. before buying the software download the demo version of the software to check the capability of the software in recovering deleted files.

Try Kernel for FAT and NTFS, windows data recovery software for the recovery of your data from the external drive.

In such type of situation you have to use a third party data recovery software like "Kernel for FAT and NTFS" hard disk recovery software which can retrieve data in such type of specific conditions. For more details go to -

Really no need in paying for software that may only be used once. A linux live cd or pindrive with ddrescue will do what any recovery software can do.

Edit.... Just noticed this is old thread so prob done already. What I said still stands though, for anyone else that might search for same problem.

lmao, you do know that a hdd is primarily glass right. Some are made of aluminium but people are surprised when you tell them it's glass.

Yet people go around throwing their portable drives left right and centre, then wonder why it stops working :P
