i got a ps3 that had the yellow light of death,,got it working and the firmware is 3.15,cool,,but the drive does not belong to this ps3,,wont read anything,the clock at the top right will not spin,,tried the drive in another ps3 and it works great,,so looks like i have to remarry the drive to the ps3,heres where the fun begins,,i tried the psp mod to put it into factory service mode,,no go,,boots normal,,i really dont want to upgrade the firmware because its right where i want it,,i have the original psjailbreak,,was there files for that to flash and use it to put the ps3 in service mode,or am i screwed because it does not detect a drive,any help would be great,

i dont want to stay on 3.15,,i want to remarry a bluray drive to this ps3 and then ill go up to 3.55,,as far as doing all this i can do it but its getting the ps3 into factory sevice mode is where im stuck,,i have the psp mod,psp jig,but everytime i do it it says done but the ps3 boots normal

i used my good old iphone 3g,,took 1/2 hour to set the phone up and 30 seconds to get into service mode,now time to marry the drive,,i feel dirty for some reason,
