Well a real hacker would know that they should not take a modified console online, and so would most likely have 2 consoles if they wanted online gaming.
Even most pirates will not care much as they have a plentiful supply of 3.55 and below games they can pirate, many of which dont require going online.
The only people this would be bothering are those 12 year old brats who think they can have a modified console and access to psn at the same time.
So the hackers wont be saying goodbye as they never said hello, the brats on the other hand will most likely be running tantrums
It's not the devs that will hack this easily but a descent network manager. It is hackable and anyone with the right networking skills, software and servers will already no how to bypass any security. The problem lies in making the solution public.

I agree. I only used that title to get people's attention. The only thing I'd use PSN for is to update trophies. I know trophies are not a big deal but I like having them on the same account. Though there will be mandatory updates every so often and the DNS trick could work then which would give plenty of time to update trophies. I'm sure there will be other workarounds too. Sony have to be commended for being so quick on the button this time but unfortunately for them, the damage has already been done and I don't have much pity for them seeing as they removed the OtherOs feature.
Sony have just done the wrong thing, and have continued doing the wrong thing since geohot started tinkering with otheros.
I do not see why Sony are head over heels on this matter, both the Wii and Xbox were hacking within 12 months, the ps3 took 4 years. That in itself should be taken as a huge achievement, they should be patting themselves on the back not hunting down hackers.
Just tried to find the link to the video of some dude that has hacked the ps3 3.6 auth (it was in an email from either ign or some other game email sub place)yeah anyway only link i could find was one that said ps3 re secured with 3.6 ,yeah whatever dude..lmao..
