hey
am just about to do a ps3 and am wondering when the best time to swap the hd would be
it is at 3.5 right now
should i do the hd swap before updating to 3.55 or after
or after the cfw is installed

the ps3 will not recognise a new internal hdd. So it will ask you to install the firmware, which formats the drive as well.

So you will need the update pup file on a usb stick in order to install the firmware.

ya i put it in while on 3.5 then used the 3.55ofw when it needed the files
