Hi guys, im just new to ps3, im on 4.31 firmware, updated because i was

asked to for me to play multiplayer.

My question is, is this still valid? " Guide: How to install PlayStation 3

custom firmware, run homebrew "or should i say still applicable? Can we

still use this up to this date?

- With doing this, will i be able to play downloaded games? my

knowledge about custom firmwares is like with the PSP, is it the same?

- What are the chances that i can brick my ps3 with doing this?

- If i install custom firmware to my ps3, can i go back to Official Firmware anytime i want?

- What are the advantages and disadvantages of having custom firmwares?

Hoping to get helpful responses from you guys..

There is no way you can install custom firmware on a superslim. You'd need to be on official firmware 3.55 to install any custom firmware and the superslims can't be downgraded that low.
