As said I recently brought a cfw ps3 (40gb). But I'm having some issues with it, basically I don't understand how to do certain things with it. The console has 5 games on the hdd, as well as 30 t.v. shows and about 60 movies. It is equipped with 3.55 kmeaw firmware I believe, Multiman 4.07 ps3ultimate t.v. and a 4.11 version apoofer. The games work ( I had the guy I got it from to show me) but the problems are that I for one can't get the shows or movies to work. I'm not really interested in that until I get a bigger hdd to put into it, but I can't delete any of them. How do I go about getting rid of the unwanted shows and movies? I must get rid of them to put what I want on it. Also I can't get the joystick to wirelessly connect to it. Actually it's a stick to my other ps3. Is that the reason it won't connect wirelessly to the new ps3? Also now that I have the console home the games won't start. WTH Could someone help out a poor noob out with these problems!! Thanks to any and all helpers!!
Try connecting the ps3 controller to ps3 using a cable, then start the ps3 that might help, not sure dont remember how I did it when I had 2.
As for deleting movies, you should be able to see them in the movie section on your XMS or whatever they called that cross section menu ps3 has, then press triangle for menu and delete.
For games, maybe you need some(any) blu ray inside ps3 then you go load the backup and game should show up, I dunno I'm using Gaia still not multiman that's how you used to do it back then.
Sounds like a older custom firmware revision with bugs this is why i don't purchase custom firmware ps3's that are already customized bad idea because you have no clue if they fouled the process up

kmew cfw has no revisions and has no bugs... the only "bugs" i can recall are only the ones that are related to homebrew/apps that had no proper peek poke use that the cfw provided... and its not a bad idea to buy ps3 with cfw installed its not like you cant install any other cfw... heck you can even use PS3MFW builder to build your own cfw... nothing stopping you really.... and the ONLY way to actually "foul" a cfw is bricking the unit after installing it... kmew cfw is a base to any beginner that wants to run backups/homebrew/apps
Try playing thru disc option on xmb and if doesnt work try using app home option. also search for bd multiman options cuz theres certain options some users need to put on multiman to get games working. i almost never have to do this but some do. i think its internal or external (depending on how you have it) and bd emulator on multiman options then launch game. Kmeaw CFW 3.55 > any other cfw.

Thanks for the replies guys, I don't have any real problems playing games. I can't play 2 of them because it has a spoofer in which I need some hdd space to get some updates and I can't do so cause there's no space left and the traditional way of deleting stuff doesn't work (highlighting with triangle and hitting x) I have another cfw ps3 with an old version of Multiman which I jailbroke myself. I was guessing that there might be a way I just never learned of doing of getting rid of stuff an experienced user might know how to do. Or maybe guy who did it didn't do it right? Dont't really know was also advised to FTP the games to filezilla and then format the hdd but my computer is shared between myself, wife, and daughter and really don't have the space to do so without getting rid of stuff already on the pc. Which was the reason for the question from you smarter guys in the first place. But you did help with the controller issue. Thanks again for that!!
