got a ps3 fat and need a new motherbord looked on back of ps3 model cechlo3 can i use adifferent modle number are do i have to get the same

It's probably better and cheaper to go to a computer repair shop. They'll be able to solder in a new fan connector for you. Cos a new motherboard will cos the same as a 2nd-hand ps3.

Or has the motherboard itself been damaged as well?
