Hi all,

I have an original fat ps3 that i no longer use due to having a ps4. i want some help on how to install cfw the current fw is version 4.55, can i install cfw on this version? and if so what do i need please

No, you can't install custom firmware on a firmware over 3.55. And no, you can't downgrade just by using software.

Only way you can get custom firmware installed on your device in by downgrading it using a flasher and this requires opening up the system and getting your hands dirty with some wiring and more of a risk.
