Just wondering if it's possible to get 3.55 CFW on my PS3 that has 3.56 on it

Quick google search says no, if you try using old downgrade method of 3.55 to 3.41 you will brick your 3.56 console.
Either sony has scared away the hackers, or they are waiting to see what the outcome of the geohot case is, or you can believe the rumour that none of them are bothering with 3.56 as sony said they will be releasing 3.60 soon and they would rather work on that.
In all cases you will have to wait.

Is there something wrong with you, do you find d it hard to understand simple things.
There is no Jailbreak for 3.56.
There is no CFW for 3.56.
There are no hacks for 3.56.
There is no way of playing free games on 3.56.
Firmware 3.56 has not been hacked.
You cant hack 3.56.
3.56 cant be hacked.
I don't know how many more ways i can explain it.

Yet you dont know you cannot hack or downgrade ofw 3.56 even though it has been stated to you numerous times. Let's count, 12 no's in this thread. Let's round it to a cool 13
No you can do jack all with your 3.56 console except use it for official use.

lol everyone is clueless at some stage, we all have to start somewhere, though the best place to start, is by listening to people and not ask the same question numerous times, when you have been told the answer numerous times.

I think he is just trying to wind you up.
(perhaps Hi100 should try the water cooling 3.60 cfw cooked method. You just turn the power off at the plug, make sure your wearing rubber soles on your feet, plug a USB stick in the front after writing 3.60 cfw on it and then place it all in a bucket of water before turning it on at the mains (make sure you are well away from it). Once you see the blue flashes coming out of the bucket it should be well and truly cooked for 3.60. Now don't go near it or touch anything attached to it, turn it off at the wall and unplug it, leave it to dry for a day and only plug it back up using an armoured bomb robot. I would not recommend this at all and take no responsibility if you brick your console - only tested on idiots DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS if you have a brain)
However and old method involving a CPU exploit is the only hack presently known, it is still useless until the ram can be dumped just after resetting the otheros/gameos with a trigger. Bassically the ram gets froze with a reset command that is invoked leaving all the data there, this data can, t be easily downloaded at present with software but not impossible.
Mathieulh Tweeted about a new exploit he refused to release, a previously unheard of person calling himself "Darkhacker" released info on the new CPU exploit the day after.
All said and done there is nothing you can do with the new fw's for 99.9% of the scene. You could always start to learn instead of nagging the devs and maybe you can do it yourself by the time fw version 10 is released lol

Just to make you aware, the exploit that Mathieulh tweeted that he found, is not the same as the exploit DarkHacker posted, the one Mathieulh tweeted about was regarding 3.56, the one DarkHacker posted was from before 3.50

**UPDATE** just thought it important to note the uber badass KaKaRoTo cracked the 3.56 in less than 24 hours after it was released by $ony, so for the poor newbs that stumble upon this thread, there is hope my younglings, keep feeling out the force!!
