ps3 fat, ylod fix, can does not work right-

K, I fixed a ps3, ylod, works but the fan does not go higher or adjust for heat. So I said, Before it burns up. I'll add a 100k pointemeter to it. and try that.

and that worked, but the 100k is soo sensitive, that pretty much its on full speed. (the fan).

So I got a 250k coming, Im hoping this will allow me to actually have some adjustment range. Since the 100k, is too sensitive.

Or will I see the same issue with the 250k ?

this is a cecha01. 60gb .

I'm glad I got it working after a few tries of fixing the ylod. not sure what if the sensor for the temp control built it, fried or ect. the fan comes on, but does not increase in speed.

Any additional thoughts ? comments.

I have a 150k wired into mine (ceche01 80gb model).

Mine is somewhat sensitive as well, but I have learned to adjust it appropriately. Not sure how a different ohm potentiometer affects the performance as I've only installed the 150k on 3 different consoles.
