So I have been doing a little research on PS jailbreak tools (USB tool). There seem to be several out there. I am wondering which is the best or would it be better if I did my own using the PS groove (?) or the PS freedom (?) ? Also if one uses this method can one still play on line? If not when the USB device is unplugged can you then get online with certain games like MAG? I am very interested in this method as I just ordered a 2TB external HDD (mostly for movies) specifically for my PS3 and would love to back up a couple games also. Anyway thanks for all the help.

sigh another person who does not read up properly.

1) Dongles are a thing of the past.
2) Download and install official firmare 3.55 NOT 3.56
3) Download and install Kmeaw cfw 3.55
4) Install a backup manager
5) Do as normal.

As for going online, it is possible but not recommended as sony may decided to start banning modded consoles.

I bet they are still selling those keys to people who don't bother to research...and most of those people probably have 3.56

You know many shops still have tons of jailbreak devices in stock , they must be pretty happy to see people who don't bother to research .
