So my brother gave me his ps3 without a drive and I put one in that I had and installed 3.55 kmeaw and all I get is black screen when I try to boot anything and from what I've been reading my drive needs to be remarried to motherboard. So can I accomplish this in the said firmware or do I need ofw? I plan on using my modded PSP to do this as my jig or what have you. Does it matter which one I use got one fat and slim older slim grey both on gen d3...I know there's a guide (Google does wonders) but it didn't say weather I could do it on cfw or not or if there is a new firmware or something that will sole my black screen issue as there is a lot of material to read on this stuff.
