hey,,just want to start from scratch,,how can i remove geohots install package,just go into recovery mode and reinstall the offical update?? cheers

What I did to restore the official firmware was download the official firmware from Sony or whatever reliable source, put it on a flash drive formatted to fat32. Create a folder named PS3 and another folder inside that named UPDATE and copy the firmware in that folder. Go into recovery:-

6. System update

Follow the on screen instructions and that should be it.

For some reason when I did that and started my system back up I notice that the install package was still there. So I went back into recovery again and I did:-

5. Restore ps3 system.

So that Should do the trick.
