Install on internal is only option. Can confirm this game does work on internal, split game files cannot be run at all.

Use multiman when you want to ftp, it is more stable.

You may also be interested in this article. Allows faster transfers if hooked to your pc.

Gaia is crashing as you are using multiple connections. I found this when I tried, you need set the connections to 1. Before pressing Connect in filezilla click on the Transfer Setting tab and check the Limit the number of connections box and set it to 1. This is if you continue using gaia and wirelessly.

If you use the methos in link above, well I set mine to 10 connections but it only ever uses 3. But as you are directly connected you get much faster transfer speeds.
Not sure about phat consoles but slims have a gigabit ethernet port. So if your pc has a gigibit port as well, transfers will be real fast.

So in future any games which have files larger than 4gb must be installed on internal hdd. The rest will be fine on external.
