I was reading the March 2011 PtOM issue #043 the other day, when I came across page 12 labeled with the title heading "Time for Mods" about GT5's planned future with multiple patches. Within the article there was a statement about the upcoming possibility of what they are calling C-Spec. Here is the paragraph as quoted from the magazine ~
Quote:...Alternatively, Yamauchi may continue work instead on his rule-obeying free-roam mode (were calling it "C-Spec"), where players drive around at the speed limit, obey traffic laws, and possibly even get out and walk. It may seem as if we're joking, but we're not.
Here are the pics of the page (click for larger size) ~
Now here is where it gets pretty interesting...I remembered seeing a video a while back of Phil Harrison at the 2005 E3 giving a presentation demo showing off what the PS3/Cell/RSX was to be capable of, anyway towards the end of the video (4:05 to end) there was a portion that looked eerily like GT5P's & GT5's London in game. Not just that it was a depiction of London in the Demo, but that it looked like they took it right out of GT (or the other way around if you think about it)!
I have said that to the other thread also (@GTP), I think this is a brilliant idea!
The ending of the video looks alike the "photo locations".
Maybe some of the photo locations are parts of the C-Spec after all.
I dont know what they planning to do with GT5 and how far they are willing to push it, but if all rumers come true (C-Spec, Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Rally Races etc etc) it will grow so big, with so many things to do that i dont think that the disc will ever get out of my PS3.
@Oner about 2+2....if i my memory serves me well.....There is another piece about this.
K.Y. in the past have said that "GT5 has almost filled the BD disc"
Judging from the the size on the disc that is about 15gb, an "if" i remember well that Kaz have said that.... lot of things has been left, maybe one of this is C-Spec.
LoL...I guess they really want extreme realism...here are some other ideas for them:
Old cars from Italy and the UK should have trouble starting half the time and should break down in the middle of races a lot.
Older mechanical fuel injection vehicles should require EFI conversion in order to get any extra power out of them.
Most old cars should have serious electrical problems, and there should be an upgrade that replaces the wiring harness and the electronics; it would not add power or anything; it would just make it so that your headlights don't short out in the rain.
When driving around in C-spec mode with these cars, you should have to call a tow truck and wait on the side of the road for them to arrive.
Driving through construction zones should cause tire punctures more frequently.
There should be a mini-game where you try to fit 5 bags of groceries into the 3.5 cubic foot "trunk" of your supercar.
There should be another mini-game where you have to smoothly slip the cop a $100 bill to get out of a ticket.
When getting an oil change, the hood should open so that the new oil can be put in. Also, the mechanic should use a drain pan...as it is, it appears that he drinks the oil, filters it with his liver, and then spits it back into the engine through the drain plug hole...an impressive feat, but very unhealthy...and he forgot to change the filter!
