Ive managed to get a PS3 with 3.30 firmware and was wondering if 1. what is the best way to be able to use back up games and 2. how would I go about it

1a) internal hdd,
1b) external hdd

There are a few newer firmwares out now, but I use Kmeaw cfw which is the one included in the link

Note that if you install a larger hdd into your ps3 make sure it is 9.5mm in height as 12mm ones will not fit.
Most 750GB hdds are 9.5 a few are 12mm
Most 1TB hdds are 12mm but I think there could be a couple that are 9.5mm

Most games will run on external hdds, but there are some that have to be on the internal hdd.
