I cleaned out everything visible, and only come up w/ 43 GB free. This includes no photo/movie/music, removed all installed files, and psn games and ps3 games. The only files I see i have are my regular save files, I have quite a few and dont want to remove them 1 by 1. But even if i did this, I dont think it takes up more than 200 mb.
I'm ripping the game and it requires like 41 gb. So is any additional install required? or will the size increase after I apply Nobody's update/fix? Maybe i have a small game on ps3 internal hd, where/how can I remove more files/data to clean up more space?
Not tested myself yet. But is good news for those who need it. Just remember that eh external hdd has to be formatted in fat32 and the ps3 can only detect one partition of a max 2tb size.
It was silly of $ony putting such small hdds in ps3s, only just recently increasing them to 320gb, but they were trying to save money and adding larger hdds would have hiked up the price. But now hdds are pretty cheap even compared to just 4 years ago. So if you want a new hdd grab one quickly as a flood in thailand has stopped production of most hdd companies, so their price will increase as demand increases. Wont fall back down until they get the factories up and running again.
