I'm interested in modding my ps3 to play backups but im not sure what the best route is. I googled it but there's a bunch of methods and I'm not sure what's best. What are my options? And what about playing my backups online, using ps3 store, and updating my ps3. How will these things be affected?
Well that's the problem, only old firmware is hackable atm so no online gaming.
Even if cfw 3.61 is made, sony will find a way to block it or release new firmware
If you want to backup games, use homebrews and play online then you best get 2 consoles. 1 to use for homebrew and the other for online gaming.
i dont see why people cannot see that they'll need more than one console if they want everything as having everything on one console is not going to last long.

You can go online via the Debug servers on Rebug 3.55 CFW, Sony didn't bother fixing that.
Also i don't no why people keep asking these stupid questions about 3.56, 3.60, 3.61, we have many PS3 hacking sites that state over and over again that hacks for those firmwares are not available.
