I have searched this forum and I admit that I am confused by all of the info. I have a 3.55 system running the ReBug CFW. I would like to play 3.56+ games (anything available or close to) on this system. I have been reading about JB2 devices like True Blue that can supposedly do this.
So my question - Which dongle seems to be the best? Can you play backups of newer games (like No More Heroes, etc?) Do you need to get special disks or can you play from internal/external HDD?
As far as I am aware there is on the true blue pregnancy kit, sorry I mean drm dongle that allows 3.56+ games to be played on 3.55cfw.
I have heard that someone has cloned the true clone dongle and selling it for like $5 cheaper, but dont know if they are available yet.
There is a rumour that jfw-dh can play 3.56+ games with a new manager, but this is has not been confirmed yet, but dont hold your breath for it either, the fully working jfw-dh was supposed to have been released last October! yet the only thing they released was a several month old test cfw.
KaKaRoTo is working on a new cfw, but that will not allow piracy, but who knows, if he releases a fully working cfw someone else may figure out a way to get backups working on it as well.
So for the moment best to stick to what you have, no point paying $60 or more on a dongle. There are still plenty of 3.55 and below games you can play whilst you wait :)
i broke down and bought the tru blu dongle and im happy with,,im also suprised how well it works with most of the new games, but also suprised why no one has made custom firmware out of this dongle yet
