i recently bought a black wii from dubai and using it in india. Am in US now for a trip and want to buy a wii sport cd. Will the cd i buy from US will work in the wii bought from dubai?

Unless you operate your Wii with a modification of some kind (modchip or softmod), you won't be able to run games from the US on your console (you'll have to stick to discs from Dubai). From what I've read though, Dubai consoles are PAL region coded, so you may be able to play games from Europe & Australia, although don't hold me to it.

You can use PAL games on your dubai wii.
You don't need to mod crap if you are planning to use or buy PAL games only.
If on the other hand you want to play NTSC games then yeh you will need to softmod you wii. You can use moddmii to do it. It's very easy and there is step by steps (there is even videos on youtube on how to use it) just do a search on google for moddmii and you will get the Step by steps page.
