burned wii game to iso

I have a friend that has some burned wii games that I would like to extract to an iso file. is there a way that this can be done? need help asap. thanks for your help.

Yeah, it's pretty easy once you get the necessary programs.
Find WBFS Manager here.
Find USB Loader GX (forwarder) here.
In my opinion the easiest way to do it is through USB Loader GX. You'll need an external hard drive, or thumb drive of at least a few gigs. With USB Loader you can "install" a game. First download and run WBFS Manager, format the drive to WBFS Format then remove from your pc and plug it into the Wii's USB port(if you're looking from the front its the one on the left). Run USB Loader GX and you'll see a + symbol in the bottom left corner. Click install and it will rip the disc directly to the drive. Turn off the Wii, plug the drive back into your pc, run WBFS and you can extract the game off into .iso format. Or if you want just leave it on the drive and play it through USB Loader GX. Good luck, I hope that was thorough enough.
You can also stream it over your connection via ftp, but that takes awhile. You can find the info for that.

yea I tried all of that. my computer wouldn't recognize the game & the wii wouldn't either. usbloader couldn't read the disc either. it normally works with orig. copy but it wouldn't with the burnt copy

Mine just takes a little longer with burned copies. Who knows. Other than what I suggested you could try to do it via ftp or just use a dumper app to dump the game to usb or sd. I don't know if you'd have any luck though. It could be the media its burned on...

I haven't used neogamma in a long time but I don't think it has that capability. I could be wrong though.

I don't know if you have a Mac Computer, but if you do, there is a nifty little application that will rip an entire backup game to your computer in a short time, I've tried it myself and it works a treat. I've never tested any ripped ISOs, but it's the quickest and easiest method of ripping backup games, that is, if you have easy access to a Mac computer.
Other than that, if the disc is not being recognized by the Wii, then there could be a problem with the disc, test the disc out for functionality and try ripping it again. A good idea would be to find a reliable and credible website with a proper tutorial on USB ripping to guide you in case you do something wrong or are unsure of the procedure.

I've heard good things about it, bad things about it, but I've used it before and it seemed to achieve the desired effect. Mind you, I never tested any ISOs that I ripped to see if they worked, and judging by the comments on the page, it doesn't work on certain versions of Mac. The app will fail if you try to rip an original game. It also rips GC Backups, too. Try it out and see if it works for you.

why dont you just use imgburn and create image from disc? it takes about 15 mins. if the iso was burnt to disc then just rip it back off.

That's a great idea, I don't know why I didn't think of that lol its so simple. Guess I thought Wii Games, and not burned games.
