I've got a softmodded wii that is up to date on all its mods as far as I'm aware.
I've got the newest version of DML on my sd card, installed it, etc.
I downloaded Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and installed it to my SD in a folder called 'games' using DMToolbox (I installed it using the Raw option)
Using Dios Mios Booter, the rom shows up and boots but my gamecube controllers are not working. I tried leaving it for 10 minutes or so and they still didn't work even though the game ran through its opening sequences and I'm sure the controllers work.
I tried the same thing with Double Dash and just got a black screen after attempting to boot it.
The games don't even show up if I use USB Loader GX.
I've been trying to get them to boot off of my HDD using regular Dios Mios as well but they won't run from that either, but that gives me a whole new set of issues so I was thinking my HDD might just not be compatible yet.
I'm sure that I'm leaving out some sort of information, so if there's anything I can fill it in please let me know. I've been trying to get this to work for weeks and it's been very frustrating. Thanks guys!
EDIT: They are showing up in GX but if I try to load them it says "incorrect config version, please update your loader. As far as I know this is the newest version of GX.

because you used the lite version which is designed for developer purposes you need the full version not the lite version and i cant tell you where to get it because it is against forum rules here
lite = run games from an SD card
dios mios = run games from a hard drive
from a HDD you need to have the first partition FAT32, 32kclusters (or less) and set as primary, loads of Hard drives have issues but usb2 Western digital seem the best.
Latest version of GX = google (google.code gx loader) this will get you to the developers page and go to issues - 1769 - and this is the beta development thread, trawl through and you will find rev 1209, download this and replace your boot.dol
Most loaders use the full.iso without issue, however get dmbooter and install this, use this to run the games in the first instance as it is the most basic but also most stable loader for gamecube games, this is reccomended by the developer of dios mios.
A GENUINE GC controller in port 1 (closest to the front of the wii) GC memory card in slot A (nothing in slot B) and a disc (even a wii game) in the slot.
Once booted I have had no issues with controllers (even none originals) make sure your controller is working (boot an original game to test)

Is it necessary to have a disc in the slot? My wii's disc drive is completely non-functioning which is why I'm trying to hard to get this to work.
