I have a Wii with Wii Key installed. Some time ago, someone helped me to change the region of the Wii from NTSC-J to NTSC-U. However, after that, my Wii can no longer read disc from the Wii menu, but instead I have to go to the Homebrew Channel and launch GeckoOS to launch any games. Can anyone tell me how I can rectify this problem? I would also like to apply the Wii Key 1.9s update, but should I use NTSC-J or NTSC-U? And can I safely upgrade the firmware for the Wii over the internet? Should this also be done before or after the Wii Key firmware update? Will this revert it back to NTSC-J?

I don't want to use Darkcorp. But the ability to load from the main menu was there before the region change thing. I would like to know how I can restore this ability because I'm planning to sell this Wii and want to make it easier for the new owner to understand how the console will work. I don't mind booting into GeckoOS to launch the game but I'm sure the buyer would question whether something is wrong with the console. Can someone help me? And can I update the OS after installing the Wii Key update? Should I use the NTSC-J or NTSC-U version?

The problem might lie where you changed the region from NTSC/J to NTSC/U

It's at 3.4U now. Let me grab a screenshot of the AnyRegion settings and see if it helps you guys to help me troubleshoot.

Seems like System Menu version installed is blank. Can I safely change everything back to Japan without bricking the system? Do I have to install BootMii and what does it do anyway?

use the NTSC-J version for wiikey as your original region is NTSC-J not NTSC-U

It's already at 1.9s. Should I reflash? What changes should I make at the AnyRegion Changer?
