I have a softmodded wii (3.2U) and have been playing backups just fine, up until I tried to play a backup of Call Of Duty. I read that some of the newer games run best on gammerloader 7 and I have been using an older version so decided to try and upgrade to 7. Well, this is where I run into problems.
I cannot install it, I just get a blank screen from HBC. I also tried to update the CIOS to 38R14 but a blank screen also.
I read I may need to exploit the wii again with the trucha bug - so downloaded pimp my wii and I get a "Exception (progame)occurred!" message, which i also get when trying to install WAD manager.
I tried the guide on the sticky (http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-154/collection_of_most_known_wii_errors_with_suggested_fix-813081/) to downgrade the IOS with the bug restorer, but after this step:
Take your SD card and put it in your Wii. Fire up the Homebrew Channel, and then load the Trucha Bug Restorer. Press B on the Wiimote. This wiil set no IOS Reload.
1. When it loads, opt to load IOS36. Read the Disclaimer; press 1 to accept. When the next menu loads, go down and select Downgrade IOS15, and then choose to load IOS from SD card. Keep pressing A each time you are prompted to resume installation. Once it's done, press any button to exit; it will return to HBC.
It gives me the Exception error once I choose to load from the SD card.
Can anyone give me some advice?
I hope I've listed everything correctly, I know some of the regulars hate it when someone has a problem and do not state exactly what is going on.
