Hi, wondering if anyone can help. It hasn't been an issue previously as games were being played that did not need saving. Now they are starting to play adventure games and wanting to save their progress I need to know how to set it up so can save progress.
Can someone please tell me how I do this? With USB Loader GX.
I've since discovered Gamesave Manager GX, do I simply copy the 'Gamesave GX' folder to the 'Apps' folder on the SD card then install through Homebrew Channel? Then do I need to prompt to save games or it will just automatically happen?
if you have space in the wii memory all loaders save as if the game was being played normally, if the wii memory is full and this is the reason for the problem you need to update the loaders, as per your previous thread, and in the options for GX there is a setting for enable nand emulation, just enable it for saves (partial) and all the saves will be added to either the SD card or Hard drive, depending where your apps folder is. once enables they will have lost all saves to existing games but there is an option to extract them in the menu for GX
The Wii memory is not full, there is plenty of room on HDD and also SD. I've been into all the settings in GX and can not find anywhere to change settings so as game saves. I've just been back in looking for 'nand emulation' setting as you mentioned and can't see anything like that either. I am using V 2.2 (which I think I will leave at that for now-very nervous about updating it-all seems very complicated without detailed instructions) according to the credits setting.
Please can you give me instructions on where to find the setting? Don't I need to install Gamesave Manager of some sort? I don't have that installed yet. Thanks.
However if you are playing normally it should always allow you to save, the games run as if they are being played from a disc. All my games save perfectly.
