And yes I mean from a board that wont power on,ect.

Friends unit died and I am trying to dig up info on getting the data off it. they should have made the damn thing removable ><

The only way woulod be to swap the nand storage chip to another working wii and complete a nand backup. Geadlyfoes has done something like this - google will find the info.

Ya the dual nand setup is neat too. I hoping for a simpler solution but it seems swapping nand chips is it.

You better hope your friend doesn't play mario kart because the nand trick blocks mario from communicating with the internet and your freinds downloaded games wont work as well because there assigned to the consoles serial number not the nand

I just want most of the saves the content can be re downloaded when haz nin switch over to the new unit.
