I'd modified my wii based on Larry's guide for System 4.2U. I am able to play DVDs using NeoGamma without any problem.
I have a 2TB WD ext HD. I went to Windows XP Disk Manager and deleted the partition and created a new primary partition for 1.5TB and made it active. Then I went to WBFS Manager, formatted my primary partition to WBFS and loaded some ISOs in the drive.
I went to my Wii and ran NeoGamma, selected Load games from USB, pressed A to load WBFS (this works sometimes and sometimes I get error trying to load wbfs about 30 tries). When it does load, I can see the list of games and when I select to play I get an error:
No DVD (n).
Please help.
When running NeoGamma, the screen displays:
NeoGamma R7, IOS249 (Rev 14)
Update your softmod (rev 14 is way out of date) - google Modmii and run the wizard on your PC (call your wii a vigin one) it will download everything you need inc a guide - start the guide from after the instal of the homebrew chanel as you should have this.
The cios is what enables detection of the hard drive - use Fat32 for the hard drive WBFS is now old hat.

Got Modmii and have 2 questions:
(1) The first step in guide says "If the HBC is using an IOS other than IOS58 or your homebrew channel is upside-down, make a note of it as it applies later in the guide (you will have to reinstall the HBC)."
Since you mentioned that I can ignore this step, it seems that I need to confirm if the HBC on my Wii is using IOS58 since some steps in the guide further down need this. How do I do that?
(2) What is the disk loader while using Modmii wizard? Will I lose NeoGamma if I use the guide for vigin wii? I would like to have the ability to play both from DVDs 9that I am currently doing) and ext hard drive.
Start your homebrew chanel on the wii - on the main screen it tells you the revision and what ios it is running on. If it is quite old then you will need to update (follow the guide ) after you install the WADs as you need to add ios58 first then reinstal the homebrew chanel so it runs on this ios
I believe that modmii installs cfg loader (each loader is seperate and you can have as many as you like)

Modmii is installing USBLoader and hence my question if I go with Modmii and mod like virgin wii, will I lose my Neogamma.
