Well a few months ago my daughter was playing on her hacked WII and some how did an update on this damn thing, Well since then I can not get the c IOS 249 to reinstall. it keeps saying that it is a sub and I need to reinstall it, so I tried to do so and when I click on it, it says press A to continue and B to restart.. well I press A and here it is an hour later and it is still on the damn screen.. so i mean I guess my question is how long will this take or am I doing something wrong?? will the Wii restart on it's own when it is done???

if she did a update she most likely installed 4.3 the latest firmware you have to rehack the wii using bootmii and reinstall everything sorry

as we have said modmii will help you a lot but remember if the game requires a update i recommend using prilloader as well once installed it can be used to deactivate updates by disk and updates from nintendo as well. once installed you turn on the console and hold down the reset key until it boots then select everything you want to turn off

1) Bootmii does NOT hack a wii, it only gives you the chance to reload a previous backup you made
2) Modmii does hack the wii AND it installs priiloader AND it tells you what hacks to enable.

Go use modmii, see what it can do (especially for noobs) then give advice.

Needing some help guys, thx in advance
Installed Homebrew Channel, its working great, no problems.
Ive been working with this site for the rest:
https: // sites. google. com/ site/ completesg/ backup-launchers/ installation
Im on step #5 under "Wii" and am stuck.

Ive got all files instructed on an SD card, Homebrew is reading the card,
I see the cIOS Installer, I load it and get an ERROR on the second screen:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
("noon1" - cant confirm): Bad character 0x10 not allowed by XML standard!
(in red) Unable to get the module MLOAD for the d2x-v8-final cIOS base 37
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

after this, it goes back to the homebrew home screen and thats it. SO...
need some help guys, otherwise stuck. THX in ADVANCE!
