wii games work, including black ops
Emulators freeze about 10 sec after loading
Media Players(Mplayer and WiiMC)get exception DSI error on a black screen with bunch of code.

cIOS249 rev 19 is installed on IOS236.
Why are games working, but not emulator and media players?

thanks

So...I tried to reinstall IOS236 using v5, instead of v4. It told it couldn't due to a missing trucha bug on IOS36. So, before I try to flash the nand backup, I thought maybe I could downgrade to IOS15, patch IOS36 and restore IOS15, then try to reinstall IOS236v5.

Is this safe? any ideas?

Are there any issues with flashing a nand if bootmii was installed as an IOS, instead of boot2?(I've never done this before)

Thanks again

why not use dop-mii v15 to install clean IOSes. IOS236 v5 installer worked right away for me, and my IOS36 is clean from any patches.

and as far as i know, IOS58 is required for the latest media players.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

So, use dop-mii and IOS236v5 should work?
I'll try that and let ya know what happens.

I orginally installed IOS236v4 after the 4.3 udpate. Right before the last step, where you press 1 or 2, I got a DSI exception error. I probably should have reinstalled, but when I went to install cIOS249 on 236 and I saw it there...I figured it went through. I knew there was a problem when hermes 223 had an error during installation. I still thought it was weird that cfg USB loader worked fine, but no other apps would.

thanks again cee, I'll cee what happens :)

It works!! Seemed like a IOS36 problem. I like the DOP-Mii app, but would prefer an offline option. I'm still a little confused on IOS.

Is there a list somewhere of exactly what IOS and versions should be installed for all games, apps, emus to work?

Does it depend on what firmware is installed? For Example: would a 4.1u have different IOS installed compared to a 4.3u? or all the same?

Thanks again AD and cee43!

Edit: I figured it out. I have all needed IOSs. Is it safe to install them using wad manager 1.7?
