Hi Guys,

I have my wii softmodded to system menu 4.3E (from this guide: link) and when using the cfg USB loader with my external BUS powered external hard drive to load wii sing it loads correctly but the microphones are not detected.

The wii microphones are Logitech and come with a BUS powered hub.

If i load the game from a backup DVD-R the mics are detected but the game is quite out of sync.

Does anyone know that if i purchase an externally powered USB hub that will get the power from an AC socket fix this issue as im pressuming that all the devices connected to the single USB port on the back of the wii can't get enough power to power the external hard drive plus 2 mics?

Thanks for your time :)

On CFG as you are using USB mics you need to load the game on 223 or 248 (both these support usb mics) If you use 249, 250 or 222 then the mics will not be detected

it depends on the base you're using for your cIOS. for games with microphones, base 56 on IOS250.

also, the hub needs to be on the top usb port, and the external drive on the bottom. do NOT connect the external drive to the hub.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Thanks for your help guys.

I have had the external hard drive connected to the hub with the mics before with using the bottom usb port as i read somewhere that the top usb port was unavailable? but this didn't work so i pressumed that it was because of all the devices connected couldnt get enough power to them.

Im gonna have to try the hub connected to the top port with the mics connected to the hub and the hard drive connected to the bottom usb port then and learn more about the cIOS etc as ive just used the cfg usb loader without changing any settings etc.

I downloaded the pack that you said you used, so using 223 or 248 (from your pack) will work.

when using any cIOS above 14(?), the bottom port is strictly for the hard drive, and the top is reserved for accessories. i have my wiispeak working fine in MHTri with cIOSX_rev21 base 56 on IOS250.

Thanks guys for your help.

I didn't realise that you could change the cIOS for each game in CFG loader

I feel like a bit of a plonker now lol

Hi. I have similar problem. However, I'm running original rockband game on my modded wii (4.2e). Anyone has solution to this?

I am having the same issue as some of the above posts. I am using wii flow as my bootloader and I have even tried to go into the options of "Sing It" and select IOS 222 and 223 but then when I try to load the game it just hangs at "please wait". I have the external hdd plugged into the usb 0 port and the microphone plugged into the other usb port. Additionally, if I don't select an IOS option from the game selection screen and just leave it at "default" the game will load but of course it will not detect the microphone.

I am having the issue as well. I am using wiiflow loader and even whe3n selecting the sing it game and going into the options and selecting to use IOS222 or IOS223 it just hangs at "please wait". If I leave the game at "default" it will load but of course it won't detect the microphone. I don't have a usb hub and I am connecting my external hdd in usb 0 and my logitech microphone in the other usb port. Any help would be great!!
