I've been streaming movies from my mac to my wii using mplayer and its smb function. As of last night, i transferred all my movies to an external hard drive due to the lack of space on my mac and now i cant seem to get it to stream the movies from my external hdd to my wii. I've tried just about everything I can possibly think of but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any experience with this?

you cant because mplayer looks only in directorys on the computer itself not on external sources it wont work from a external hard drive because usb cannot keep up with the transfer rates
