I need help with my Wii. Recently modded it and installed NeoGamma R7. I can play mos of my games but some others either freeze or I get a black screen. How do I fix this? And how can I enable the Wii to play all games with no problems? Is there a better NeoGamma version I should install or should I modify the settings of NeoGamma to suit the game? By the way, my firmware version of the Wii is 4.1, which I downgraded before from 4.2 before installing NeoGamma. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Downgrading it might of caused some problems to occur.
Some games require alternate .dol's, certain IOS's, there is a pack that you can find on google that has all of the IOS, CIOS. Or you could just use ModMii and refresh your mod.

I have used this tutorial so I can recommend it being safe (safer than BRICKNMYWII anyways)
And if you still don't beleive me here is a link to people complaining about it http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-applications-utilities/65271-pimp-my-wii-2-02-not-recommended-wiihacks.html
I've personally never had a problem with it, Vato. I use it all the time, and have used it to quicken the softmodding process numerous times. I don't doubt that people have had problems with it, but you could probably say that about most homebrew apps. Look at how many people have bricked their Wii trying to change themes, you can't always blame the software, sometimes its the user.
This is the first post on Vato's link, I'm not trying to put your suggestion down, Vato, I'm just saying.
"Thanks for the update on the newer version, but I do feel the need to add a bit of caution to those thinking of using this program. We have seen many people wander into the bricked wii section due to playing around carelessly with pimp my wii. Nice to have updates on stuff like that, but thought I'd add that in in for those who are unaware of the risks of this program."
It says clearly, "playing around carelessly with pimp my wii" and "for those who are unaware of the risks of this program."
I'm no rocket surgeon and I managed to use it properly. Thats also a link from version 2.02, the newest being 2.22, which I used just the other day to softmod a virgin Wii.
Try ModMii, I don't have a lot of experience with it, but it seems legit. Good luck to the OP.

That is just one site that says that "and when they say playing around" they mean not knowing what to do, which in this case would suggest this guy asking for help.
So why give him a program which could brick his wii... well you haven't had problems but do you Guarantee that it will not brick his wii.... and if it does are you willing to buy him a brand new one or unbrick it. I love it how people say ohhh it works for me , but oh well for the other people that screwed their wii's with this program... as long as it worked for me.... I can tell you to use it LMAO.
(I for one know what I am doing and have used this piece of crap and it jumbled and installed unecessary IOS on mine and my mates....which I had to delete)
Anywho rogue_reaper I suggest you use that link to that guide I have given ya as It is recommended by everyone and "EVERYONE" can tell you its save to use (including me). Oh you can go with BRICKMYWII and maybe end up BRICKING YOUR WII.
This guy comes here to have the best, fastest and safest possible way to solve his problems, which BRICKMYWII will not solve (it might or might not create more problems for him). That is if he knows how to you the program at all. I have given him the link which gives him step by step on how to use this guide update (which is very simple and self explanitory) and if he needs more help me could ask. Now tell me which one would you use if you didn't really know much about updating.... Still use BRICKMYWII!?! Even after you heard this program might brick your wii?!?

Kill the hostility man, its just my method. Can you guarantee that any homebrew app won't brick your Wii? No! Just like I said about changing themes. Relax man, it's just my two cents, if he doesn't want to use my idea, he doesn't have to. I, and obviously many others, use, and like PimpMyWii because of its capabilities, it even has a .wad manager now. Why else would they keep releasing new versions?
I suggested PimpMyWii because in my opinion it easy to use, even for a noob, and it gets the job done with merely a few presses of the A button. It asks for verification before installing any IOS, and even gives you a briefing of what that IOS does. Every day another noob pops up asking questions that have been posted here a 1000 times before. It's not unlikely that they'll brick their Wii, don't blame me, or any software for that. They should know what they're getting themselves into by now. If you really want to whine, contact Attila, I'm sure he'd love to hear you dissing on his hard work. If you've managed to get to the point where you can access a program like PimpMyWii, I think you probably have enough knowledge to know how to use it. We all know you have difficulty mashing the correct button on the keyboard, but there are only so many on the Wiimote, you'll figure out PimpMyWii eventually, Vato. I'm here to help!
In the event that, he, or anyone else for that matter bricked their Wii, I'd be more than happy to help, but I won't for a second feel bad about it. He makes his own decisions, I didn't force the Wiimote into his hand.

errrr yes I can guarantee this won't brick your wii as it is "fool proof" and has been done for the purposes so that people will not brick their wii.... and this is not a HOMEBREW APP LIKE PIMPMYWII. Plus if you bothered to read his post he doesn't seem to know much about softmodding, while other people who use BRICKMYWII and other Homebrew APPS that modifiy IOS and so do. ANd you want him to use BRICKMYWII Hostility?!?! what weed are u smoking!?!? Can I have some ^ ^ Just because someone doesn't agree with you and says other methods doesn't mean they are hostile (maybe you read into things too much). I doubt you will be able to do anything to unbrick their Wii (which people don't want this to happen to them in the first place by getting help from people here). LMAO @ this "In the event that, he, or anyone else for that matter bricked their Wii, I'd be more than happy to help, but I won't for a second feel bad about it. But then you tell him to use pimpmywii when there is 50/50 chance it will brick his wii ROFL @ your reasoning.

Whatever man, I'm done arguing about this stupid crap. All I did was lend my advice, take it or leave it. Your guide has brick warnings all over it, nothing is fool proof. Note the advice to make a NAND back up, and install BootMii before even beginning. If it were fool proof you wouldn't need a NAND back up. Maybe you should read through my post a few times, both for clarification, and a grammar lesson. Sweet jesus, where do you go to school?

Look dude don't get mad because I didn't agree with you.... If you can't take it then don't post. I was giving my opinion on what BRICKMYWII does and gave proof about it. I never at anytime called you stupid or said what you are saying is wrong (plus I never was arguing with you).
But it seems you can't handle critism or people dissagreeing with you too well..... so I don't know what else to say.
Would you like to re-edit your post once again MR GRAMMAR POLICE.... LOL mate you can say whatever you want, please just go now and summarize someone elses post (like the good little noob you are) and make someone else happy :)
I won't bother with you anymore because in order to get my point accross I don't need to insult like you are doing. But oh well I guess that's the manners your parents taught you. So good bye GRAMMAR POLICE.... See you later SUMMARIZING NOOB. :P

All I did was back up my post with legitimate reasons why PimpMyWii is a good program, you're guide uses homebrew apps too, just because its not pimpmywii doesn't guarantee its success. If you don't like it thats fine, leave it at that.

Funny thing is this guy probably already used the link and steps on how to update and your still going nuts about your BRICKMYWII lol.
Anyways have a nice day.... don't choke too much on summarizing other people's paragraphs XP

Lol, you're probably right. Just wanted to back up my advice, I'm not upset by any means, just trying to set things straight. PimpMyWii has gotten a bad rap because of people who quite simply don't know how to use it. The first few version were not the easiest to operate. I dare you to give the most recent release(2.22) a try though, it has drastically improved, and is by far one of my favorite homebrew applications.
I guarantee we get a warning, possibly a ban, for getting so off topic. I thoroughly enjoyed going back and forth though. Can we do it again sometime?
I didn't want to double post, so I just edited. I noticed nearly all of your posts are edited too...lol
Lol summarizing noob is the best you've got, I summarized a little bit of what you said, in a completely different post and you're all bitter. I'd rather be grammar police than an ignorant moron, if half of your sentences made sense I wouldn't have to be your spell check.

Anyways I see you still can't get over the name calling because this is the only way you can ummm let's say argue..... No worries I guess your upbringing was with no manners or supervision whatsoever. I get it... bad parenting , bad apple.
Oh well.... guess you will have to stick to being a GRAMMAR POLICE ^ ^
Good luck with your new job my friend. Maybe you can ask to be an Admin and have a go at people that don't agree with you..... OHHH YEH NOW THERE IS AN IDEA XP

I dare you to give the most recent release(2.22) a try though, it has drastically improved, and is by far one of my favorite homebrew applications" seems pretty retarded to go MENTAL AND ANAL over this.... looks like as if you made the program or are getting paid for it.... If none of that was happening I don't get why you would have a go at people because they don't like BRICKMYWII. Maybe you just like to argue and go ANAL on people XP

You were done 4 posts ago.
If you really were done you would not bother re-typing the same stuff over and over again.
I have mates who are programers as well but they don't ARGUE or GO ANAL on people that use their programs or dissagree with them about their or a certain program.
You might want have a BIG think about that.
