hey guys .... i softmodded my wii a couple of months ago using larrys guide, then updated to 4.1 again using his guide... i burn my backups on dvd and they run fine. i currently have cios13 and neogamma r6... i just backed up smackdown vs raw 2010 and launched using neogamma and it gave me a black screen with this "error#001 unauthorised device detected"

so i searched around and found that some people had their problem solved by updating to cios 14 and neogamma r7.... now my question is.... how do i update them?? do i follow the current guide from the start??

also if you have any other solutions to this error then please help..

You can download Neogamma R7 here. Install it using WAD Manager. As for Rev 14, you can get it here. Rename the dol file to boot.dol and place it in a folder that will go inside the apps folder in your SD card. The directory should look like this: SD=>apps=>cIOS38 Rev14 Installer=>boot.dol.

It also works spot on using configurable USB loader, CIOS rev 10 with 002 fix turned on........tho game not as good as the 2009 version

All you had to do is follow the cIOS38_rev14 and NeoGamma R7 section under my guide.

So i soft modded a while back and I am getting this same error for Smackdown. I installed Neo Gamma 7. As for Rev14, Do i need to do the other steps listed in your guide Larry, such as downgrade IOS15, PAtch IOS 36 and restore IOS15 before i run REV 14 ? I dont recall if i did those steps when i first followed ur guide.

Some steps have changed since then, but when ur previous version for soft mod was up I followed to a tee. I am on 4.1. TY in advnce

run homebrew channel and run the ciosrev14 installer. if it gives you a ret error then u need to follow the steps above like downgrading ios etc. i would also reccomend redownloading the files.
