It works from disk with d2pro. It works from backup loaders as well but my wii has d2pro modchip and softmod. So I can not say for sure it would work from diskloader without the modchip.

It's confirmed working every where. Softmod and modchips work.

Scrubbed or non-scrubbed?

The scrubbed .iso doesn't work for me, softmod or hard. (Disc error/eject disc message)

patched the iso, wii is modded with d2pro. I get an error when clicking on the game channel, and a green screen when loading with backup channel loader.

Got it working. Just needed to use Neogamma8 beta 7 to load it!

No, it runs fine with configurable USB loader and that will be fine until I can make an NTSC backup.

I've figured out a method to get the game working perfectly from disc on my NTSC, WiiKey (1.9s) modded Wii. These instructions assume you have the Homebrew Channel already installed and an SD card.

1) Download "scrubbed" PAL ISO of the game & burn it to DVD

2) Download "Neogamma r8 béta 7" (search google to find it)

3) Put Neogamma on your SD card apps folder so the Homebrew channel (HBC) can recognize it.

3) Launch Neogamma from the HBC.

4) Insert burned DVD of the game.

5) Select Launch Game from DVD

6) Sit back and enjoy the game, with no weird crashes or error messages :)

I got the pal scrubbed version of this game. It loads with both neogamma and usb loader. The only issue is that the game appears black and white and with static.

Is there a setting to fix this?

Hey, i just started using usb config loader but am confused about:

"-Or use CFG-Loader and the Alt.dol Trick (rename the fixed main.dol to SMNP.dol and place it under /usb-loader/. Then select in CFG-Loader Alt.dol from SD and play the game)"

I know where the option is to select the Alt.dol, but what or where is the main.dol file im suppose to be renaming to SMNP?

Apologies for noobness.

why should u have to use a softmod hack to play a backup if you went through all the trouble of a hard mod. i guess if you don't have a sd card reader you're out of luck for this game. i hope i'm wrong.

Good question. Ive been wanting to try the usb loaders for a while, so thought id give it a shot. The loader seems to be working but this alt.dol is confusing me.

Yeah i have an SD reader. I'll try the Geko way when i get home if i cant work out alt.dol

Hmm, loading straight from game just gives me a black screen, using d2ckey.

When I try to load NeoGamma from the homebrew channel, it seems to lockup at the NeoGamma menu after it is loaded - the wiimote loses sync and I can't do anything but shut it off. Any ideas?

Nevermind, I eventually got it working, I had the wrong version of NeoGamma. Booting from NeoGamma now gives me a black screen no matter what settings I try it with. Did you guys that got it to work have to change any settings to get PAL mario working on NTSC console?

If you downloaded the game make sure your using a good download. There was 1 going around that didn't work for most. A fix came out for it. But also there was a new release of it with a fixed ISO so look for that 1 if you can't figure how to fix the other release.

WiiUtil v1.1 but it doesn't work for everything.

Some games (at this time) cannot be patched successfully (ex. Pikmin 2 Wii)

Argh!! If anyone finds away to play straight from disk without a card reader let me know. I've tried five different dl's and none work. This reminds of the pain in the rear SMG turned out to be.

The most stable way to run this would be through neo gamma. Patching didn't load the game.
