Hi guys, first time user, long time lurker here.

I modded my little brothers Wii with a Wiikey chip a few years back and everything has been fine and dandy since then.

I have not been following the Wii scene since then as everything has been working and my brother is happy with the console and plays it alot.

Now the new Mario game is coming up and therefore I ask.

Do I have to do something update / system update wise so that he can play that game from a backup ? I am not looking for a step by step instructions, just throw the jargon at me and I will take care of the rest.
