This is a calling to all of you wii nerds out there.

I installed a wiikey in my wii a very long time ago... when they first came out.
Since then I have been through a couple of semi bricks and have been able to recover. Now there is all this fancy soft mod stuff out there. Usually I just use the most recent game to update the wii settings breaking the wiikey, but then an update from wiikey fixes that right up. But not so much this time.

I get the problem where the wii settings cannot be displayed. I gather that this is a region issue. So I cannot get the mac address of my wii to try the letter bomb crack.

Hackmii appears to be down and the only version of the hackmii software that I can find in torrents is version 4.2 and I gather that that is for the wii u and not the original wii.
I have read a ton of tutorials and I tried the smash stack fix but was un able to complete it.
From what I can tell the only way for me to fix my wii is to use the Indiana jones fix of the Super smash brothers fix. To install homebrew and then go from there.

Really I really and just asking someone to Please help me and hold my hand through this ever so impossible procedure.

UPDATE: after much fighting I got the super smash brothers hack to work, and was able to install homebrew. Now I need help unbricking the wii.
