Hi i bought a wii for my daughters a few months ago it cam preinstalled with the homebrew channel and Back up launcher 0.3 Gamma which has been working great, my 6 year old was playing all the games she wanted, now suddenly the backup launcher is saying Error and i have to turn the wii off at the mains, and also it wont play the game in question from the external hd the others still work fine though its just the new ogames im having problems with
please please help
ps im really not a technical person atall so i have no idea about this i have searched for hours but found nothing as to be honest i dont reall know what im looking for
Wow, you are horrible at writing as well as not being technical. First off you need to be clear for us to help you. It is as simple as listing specifics for people to understand what part of the modding phase your wii is at.
First off be clear and type neatly for us to understand. Now that thats out of the way.
List your wii type. Ntsc, Pal or Jap / Korean.
List your system menu and specify region (3.1 , 3.2 , 3.3, 4.0 , 4.1 , 4.2)
List your wii model number on the wii's case
After that people will know where to start.
Next you said it came preinstalled with homebrew channel and backup launcher 0.3 gamma. Thats old as heck. People are using Neogamma R7 now. I suggest you follow larrys guide to update to 4.0/ 4.1 and delete the backuplauncher 0.3 gamma and install the neo gamma r7.
List what type of error you are having. Just saying error wont help anyone know what you are having difficulty with.
New games requires updates. Perhaps your daughter just updated the wii downloaded some nintendo upgrades that render your wii unplayable. There are computer programs to bypass updates such as wii scrubber.
Last most of this stuff is technical and since your arent tech savvy i dont know how anyone could help you. People arent going to sit around and type a long list of step by step instructions for you to follow. So I suggest your questions become direct and straight to the point. Or get someone who knows their stuff to fix your wii.
