Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to the burning process. I was wondering if you can burn 1:1 copy of a wii game. Like if I were to rent one and burn it and play it in the wii. If so What all do I need like programs etc to make them work.

My wii is new and cannot mod it as I'm renting to own it. So I was looking for a way to just rent a game from a store burn it and play it in the wii. Is this possible and if so can someone help me out on how to do this.

okay this is a no brainer so i dont know why you are asking.

problems:
1. you dont have a modded system with a chip inside. So how can you just rent a game and play it on an unmodded wii? So thats a NO. Unmodded wiis dont just play burned games.

2. Just popping in a game into your disc reader and making an iso doesnt work. You need an LG drive to dump roms onto your computer to burn them to play on the wii. But even with burned games you need a modded wii.

After all this youll still need a 4 gig or larger sd card to dump games to it or put homebrew apps.

solutions:
1. since you have a new wii you need mod it using the 4.2 mod hack to get the homebrew channel. Once you get the homebrew channel install dvdx. After homebrew is installed install the right ios and then use neo gamma 7 forcing ntsc. If your wii is pal force pal.

2. As for games use wad manager 1.5 and super dump to dump games to an external drive and load games via usbloader. Or dump via ftp to your computer. Dump to the sd card and reattach the iso game on the computer then burn using verbatim - r media dvd 4.7 with imgburn at 4x.

First as for your comment " okay this is a no brainer so i dont know why you are asking. " I think you are way out of line since I said I was new to the forum and new to burning so go check your ego and attitude at the door. I don't need to be treaded like that by you or anyone.

Second as for my problem, Only way to play burnt games or copies is to get these right?

1.Homebrew
2.dvdx
3.wad manager 1.5
4.imgburn
5.4GB SD Card

And of course I still need to MOD my wii

If so thanks for the help, I guess for now I will just have to buy or rent them and play them untill paid off.
