I have a Wii with a D3-2 drive and I am new to this, I heard you can't use DVD Backups.
So my question is what do I use? Do I have to buy a External HDD? Can I run the games from my PC? What do I need to do?

Buy an external hard drive - make sure you check the compatibility lists as not all drives work.

Get a 1 or 2 GB sandisk SD card

Get modmii (google will find) - run the wizard on your PC, put the files on the SD card and follow the generated guide.

Hello. I was wondering if you can help me out? I used modmii w/ letterbomb to softmod my Wii. I am following the generated guide. I installed the homebrew channel,bootmii and backed up my nand. However i am stuck on installing a patched IOS236. I waited for it to initialized my network. Do you then hit the home button and install it via bootmii,from the SD card? My guide reads, launch IOS236 installer. Thanks in advance for your help.
