Transfer ISO Image File to USB 8 Gig please

Hey Fellas,
Can you please help me? I'm trying to transfer a Wii ISO (already in image file format) to an 8 Gig USB Sandisk (not an HDD, it's a thumb drive). I did the usual first, I read forums, watched Youtube vids and with 20 different methods, many clearly outdated, it's only made what I'm sure is pathetically simple, very confusing.
I tried to simply copy the image file from my PC to the USB 8 gig, but it said the file was too big? Brand new empty 8 gig thumb drive, 4.7 gig image file? I didn't format or partition the new 8 gig Sandisk because I didn't know if I was supposed to and I didn't know how.
I do have Wii Backup Mgr on my PC but I've never used it before. Also I didn't know if I was supposed to remove the 2 gig SD card from my modded Wii and put it in my PC to do this job. No need to show me anything further as my Wii has all the Homebrew stuff including USB Loader, I simply need help putting the damn game file on the empty 8 gig usb
Sorry guys but I have 10 blown discs from a bad motorcycle wreck and sitting this long has been agony. I make the guy on House look like he's a Tic Tac addict (chew vicodin like Certs)

You're thumb drive is probably formatted to fat32 which will not let you put on a file that is larger than 4 gigs.
You have two options, the first is to format the drive to WBFS with WBFS Manager. Then locate the .iso you want, click add .iso, and WBFS will do the work. If, and when you extract the .iso for any reason it will still be in .iso format. You can find WBFS Manager here. You can then load up the drive in USB Loader GX or CFG USB Loader.
Your second option would be to format the drive to NTFS, slide the .iso on and use a USB Loader that supports NTFS. I'm pretty sure CFG USB Loader supports NTFS, but I'm not sure, as I use WBFS and go through USB Loader GX. You can find CFG USB Loader here.
Don't forget to safely remove the drive after adding games!

I hate to sound like a moron (but I'm so good at it (-;/ but when you say to format the drive, do you mean to format the USB or my actual PC? Thanks again so much for your help. I've been able to figure out everything you've showed me to date with excellent results. Got rid of my virus issues and I can make an image file in my sleep!

yeah use wbfs as it compresses the iso anyway, some isos are just filled with junk and once youve ran it thru wbfs it will be under 4gig ive seen some come back under 1 gig

WBFS Manager only shows me drives for C,D,E but my usb is in F drive?

Need some help from the Mastah!
So I added WBFS 3.0, stuck my 8 gig usb in my lappie and opened WBFS to format the 8 gig usb
When I go to choose the drive, I have C D E as options, but my usb is in my F drive?
Never mind, I hit "refresh drive list" and it showed up. Now I hit "Format" and the warning is appearing ( the "if you mess up it's not our fault" one. However, shouldn't I see what I'm formatting it to or do my options come once I hit format?
I'll wait to hear from you before I continue

Oh dear god, please don't format your C drive to wbfs, that would be epic.
Refresh the drive list? Unplug and replug? Format the thumbdrive to FAT32 then run WBFS and format the thumbdrive to WBFS.I'm sure you see the button.

You should be ok as long as you've got the right drive. The format should be pretty quick, you will then ba able to add games in the other window. Does that make sense?
