Watch VIDEO TS through my Wii

Hello all,

I did a search but wasn't able to find the answer to my question. I apologize if this has been covered before.

Here's my situation. I have some of my DVDs backed up on my hard drive where they have a VIDEO TS and AUDIO TS folder. Is there a way to watch these backups through my Wii (already has HomeBrew on it and is a 4.2 version)? If not, what is the best way to go about converting these VIDEO TS files into a manner I can watch them through my Wii and keep the best quality?

I've saw the threads about XVID and media players. I guess I'm wondering if the media players for Wii will play the VIDEO TS folder. If not, what's the best format to convert them and the best software for converting them.
