Wii Freezes when using Configurable USB Loader

Hello all, I'm relatively new to this. This is pretty much my first day installing homebrew and modding my Wii. I followed the tutorial given by MicrowaveSam on Youtube. I've been trying to copy the games I own to a hard drive using the Configurable USB Loader but it keeps freezing during copying regardless of the game. Remember, I'm a fresh noob at this, so please be gentle. I think I may have to change IOS but am unsure how. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Most guides on the internet are out of date.

Google modmii, put it on your PC and run the wizard (calling your wii unmodded/virgin)
Let it download everything, put the files on your sd card and follow the generated guide (from after install the homebrew channel - as you already have this).

Ensure you have the latest version of cfg (v70)

In the settings for cfg run the loader on 249 (if you follow the modmii guide this will be 246 (Base 56) d2xv6

All should run fine
