i am looking for software that will allow me to back up my wii games that i own. i would prefer free software but i am willing to purchase software for this. i want something that is trouble free. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i believe you would need a special drive in order to read/rip wii games.
also if you have a new black wii it will not read burnt discs,you can only
softmod the system.

Simply the easiest way is to softmod your wii (google modmii).
Install a USB loader gx, Cfg or wiiflow add a suitable hard drive ( google USB compatibility list wii)
Insert your game to the wii and it will add it to the hard drive, no special drive is required
